Of course not.I am still working, a lot in fact, on the animation system.
Currently, constraints (position, rotation, scale, point at, hinge), expression, curve link between channels, custom attributes and morph targets are working.
I am finishing the save/load parts and management of keys for child objects before releasing a new beta.
Then I will move on skeleton (not currently integrated into animation with Ik constraints, deformers (like free form deformers (currently available as a modeling tool)). At this point I will release another beta.

After, It will be time to animate texture projector, materials and rendering parameters. I will also create and fbx importer/exporter and integrate animation into the scripting possibilities.
a new beta.

Then, animation mixer (already planed into the code even if it is not visible to the end user).
a new beta or probably version 1.0.

Then physic and particles.
a new beta.

Then cloth and fluids.
a new beta or version 1.5.

I have started the modeling toolbox also, the one where the user can select the tool he/she wants on every mode (vertex, edge, face) and a special selection tool to select either vertex, edge or face.

I know I kept silent, but there was not much traffic and a lot to be done.
But don't worry, I am still working on it, as much as I can.
And one last point, When I will stop working on Alabtross3D, I will release the whole source code so that others can continue and keep it alive if they want to.

Friendly,

Craouette

Thank you, I'm happy to know that your program alike others free 3d applications is still under development.

Physics and particles? So your plan is still creating a full blown 3d modelling/animaton/rendering suite? Wink It's a really ambitious project for only one coder and i hope you will reach your goals. But on the other side i think it's easier for one person to keep the whole project on course.

What's the purpose of the Animation mixer? Is this something like the the Animation sequenzer?

Btw. will your animation system allow NLA (Non Linear Animation)?

Rendering will be limitted to what you have currently, a raytracer.
I will probably work on speed and a few effects, and also add node base shaders, but that's it.
Animation is nice feature to have, and I hope you will like the way it is implemented.
For particule /physic, it will come in time...

Animation mixer is NLA.

Pierre

When i try to connect to www.ppmodeler.com an error message appears:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/www/web156/web156u1/html/index.html on line 1

What does happen there?

I just post a message a few days ago describing the progress...
so no, it is not dead. I don't know what happened. I had an index.html page redirecting to a index.php page. This page was there for years... and suddenly, it stopped working. Probably my provider changed something in its settings...

Still working hard (not so in fact for the moment, but will come back to it) on the animation system, and I need to build samples to test the system... so it is taking me some times to set thinks right...

Hello achiles,

quite well. The animation part has evolve a lot. I am now able to build the revers foot setup, which is quite nice. I still have saving issues and a bit of stability problems sometimes. But I prefer to wait a well tested version before a public release (but if you want a private one, no problem).
