No problem.
It is very simple. Just set a texture projection (face projector is automatic and work fine with 3D painting, but not in a paint program, as it is creating a texture patch for every faces), and use the parameter to paint on your mesh (of course, you need to be in texture mode in your view to see the results). You have different brushes and you can add more in the brushes directory, you have color selection and the ability to pick a procedural texture and paint with it...

If it is not clear, I can make a quick video showing the basics...

I have just discovered this programme this week, I downloaded it and am about to install it, I have been looking at any and all the tutorials to give me good feel for the programme.
So any video tutorials would be very welcome.

Thank you a video would be great.
I am opening A3d at least one a day.
After I have confidence that I have learned the A3d enough I will do a few modeling tuts. It could be a while though.

Looking forward to them whenever they arrive and once my skills improve I will do as well.

I also would like a Video on using 3D paint, I tried it once already and it was a disaster Smile

Quite a pain to do... I used uvscreen for the video capture, audacity for the audio recording, virtualDub for th mixing of the two...
Do somebody know a way to remove the noise from the audio?

Don't hesitate to send me comments... I know it is not perfect Very Happy

I will head over and take a look now.
About the audio noise , I bought a usb microphone headset it does reduce much of the noise.
I have not set up recording on this pc yet. My hard drive crashed on my the one I was using, I dont know yet how this one will be.
After I have some time to set it up I will let you know what i used and the settings.

thanks for the video, it made things a little more clearer, I managed to "paint" a sphere, the thing that didn't work was trying to "Stamp" an image, am heading back in to try again Smile

PS, I think some of my issues could be because I have Albatross 3D installed on Win 7 X 64 bit, I am not sure if its ready for that yet. But I am getting my laptop reformatted again with Vista X 32bit, should get it back tomorrow, will install A3D on it and see what happens Smile

I had a look a mari presentation video yesterday... I love the way they are pasting an image on a mesh... and will probably change the current mode to this one: texture are projected in screen space and not in texture space. Will also add the possibility to select faces in order to work on selected faces only...

Of course, possibility to work on many texture at the same time is missing (like drawing diffuse and bump at the same time)...
And probably the ability to work on hdr texture will solve the precision problems...
and a few interface enhancements (like the opacity on the mouse wheel)...

all in all, it is a good start, but more work is needed on this tool...
Of course, any feedback, request are welcome
