Hello,

first i thought that snapping (to grid, angle snap, etc.) would not be missed but i think i'm wrong with that. What do you think? Could or would you add basic/extended snapping functions to Alb3D? Would you like to hear my thoughts about this?
To bad i must go now but if you wish i post more tomorrow.

Ok,

the system for snapping could be like the snapping system in Blender. It can be activated as standard (i call it "static") in the preferences but it can also be activated temporary while moving/rotating/scaling. I only use it temporary so it's not in the way as in many programs that have no temporary snapping system..

These are the keys and snapping values (temporary and "static")

Moving (depends on the grid step)
STRG 1.0 unit snap
STRG+SHIFT ?.? unit snap

Scaling (independent from the grid step)
STRG 0.1 unit snap
STRG+SHIFT 0.01 unit snap

Rotating (independent from the grid step)
STRG 5 degree snap
STRG+SHIFT 1 degree snap

Now that was for a basic system. Smile
A extended system would be the snapping/aligning of objects together in different ways.

I have to go now.
